Delightful Katsu Bowls featuring crispy breaded pork cutlets served over fluffy rice, perfect for family dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 2 pork cutlets
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • Tonkatsu sauce
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the pork cutlets with salt and pepper.
  2. Dredge each cutlet in flour, dip into the beaten egg, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Fry the cutlets until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  5. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  6. Slice the cutlets and serve over fluffy rice.
  7. Drizzle with tonkatsu sauce and garnish with green onions.

Notes

For a crunchier texture, try double-breading your cutlets. Ensure oil is hot enough before frying for a golden crust.
