Rich, fudgy brownies topped with silky chocolate ganache and fresh strawberries for a delightful treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a large bowl, then stir in the granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla.
  4. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
  6. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean. Let brownies cool in the pan.
  8. Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan until it just starts to simmer, then remove from heat.
  9. Add the chopped chocolate, stirring until smooth to create the ganache.
  10. Spread the ganache over the cooled brownies.
  11. Arrange the sliced strawberries on top, pressing them gently into the ganache.
  12. Allow the ganache to set before cutting into squares. Enjoy!

Notes

For variations, try using dark chocolate, or swap strawberries for raspberries or other fruits.
